Amelie's bedroom mural - paint

So this weekend, I finally got around to painting my 4 year old's room.  She wanted it pink, girly and all about Tinker Bell.  So here it is!
I painted the walls light pink with one purply pink accent wall, on which I did my simplified version of the Pixie Hollow tree. The Fairies are wall stickers I got from Walmart :) The curtains are made by my very talented sister (I can sew, wish I could... but there you go).

My daughter's room has a peak in the ceiling. I painted it the dark fushia colour (picked by my little one) and added two stars, for those who know the story of Peter Pan, you will get the reference.

Below some detail photos of the bottom of the tree.

Your daughter is a lucky girl! She is so cute and looks so happy!!! Beautiful work, I love how ethereal the tree looks... Magic!

Dearest Celeste,

Amelie's room is now a visceral tribute to all that is "sugar and spice"; the wall colour is certainly the Sugar, & I'd pop the Star Wars poster in as the Spice! I think you did a wonderful job, & I would guess by the cheek-to-cheek grin on her face, that your Little Miss agrees! The deep fuchsia is rich and dreamy, and the hints of glitter in the details give it the ethereal touch of fairy dust. It looks organic and heartfelt, like the labour of love I know it was. I think that by combining her imagination & your talent, anything is possible! I hope that you celebrated, once she was tucked in tightly beneath that starry sky, with a wonderful glass {read: bottle} of your favourite Wobbly Juice. Congratulations on a fabulous job!

Love & Paintbrushes,
Andrea

P.s. This reminded me of the Holly Hobby room that my Mom decked out for me when I was about Amelie's age. It was all purple, sage and cream, and I still remember it, fondly.

Thanks Andrea, it was fun to do, and hopefully Amelie will remember this room as fondly as you do your Holly Hobby room :) And yes, wobbly juice was involved afterwards ;)
